Golf Center Assistant Manager / Store Associate - The Sweet Spot Moose Jaw

The Assistant/Associate works with the General Manager and the rest of the team by managing all functions in the golf center and store, maximizing the net profit of their location. This is accomplished through ensuring excellent customer service, maximizing sales, expense and cost management, store presentation, and loss prevention. It is an asset that you’re have an understanding for the game and specifically for the equipment side of the game. It will be part of your role to drive the growth of the Moose Jaw store / golf center and the development of the staff that you’re working with.

What you’ll do

Customer Service
- Ensures that every customer who comes through the door is receiving the best customer service possible.
- Provide continuous constructive feedback and coaching to team members pertaining their customer service and how they can improve.

Operations:

- Organizing, planning and implementation. Coordinating day-to-day operations.
- Has food safety and Serve it Right certifications and exemplifies their teachings.
- Responsible for the overall appearance, maintenance and cleaning in the golf center and store.
- Along with the general manager, plans manpower, and training.
- Able to open and close the golf center.
- Executes all direction from management.
- Oversees inventory counts.
- Ensures all cash outs are done accurately and neatly.

Leadership
- Recognizes that you represent our business and our brand whether you’re at the store or elsewhere.
- You’re a “servant leader” who would never ask something of the staff that you wouldn’t do yourself. You prefer to lead by working shoulder to shoulder with your staff rather than a “top-down” approach.
- Promotes and maintains a positive and motivating work environment.

What you bring
- Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop staff through setting expectations, communication, coaching, feedback and ongoing support.
- Proven ability to build and manage daily and weekly game plans for a business.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Superior training and mentoring skills.
- 3-5 years food and beverage management or experience an asset
- High energy, enthusiasm and a drive to succeed.
- Fundamental computer skills an asset.
- Golf knowledge, equipment general knowledge, and golf retail experience all would be strong assets.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
