Veterinary Receptionist

Job Summary:
We're growing and we are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team We are an independent, non-corporate small animal veterinary hospital located in beautiful Bedford, Nova Scotia. We treat our patients as if they were our own. We like to be thought of as your 'other family doctor'.

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for both clients and their furry companions.

**Duties**:

- Greet clients and their pets with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Collect and update client information, including medical history and insurance details
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with administrative tasks
- Process payments for services rendered
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Provide general information about our services, pricing, and policies

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a veterinary hospital role is required
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 37 per week

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

- Veterinary: 1 year (preferred)
