Established through _The Registered Nurses Act, 1988_ and driven by values that focus on the protection of the people of Saskatchewan, the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) is the profession-led regulatory body for the province’s more than 12,000 Registered Nurses (RN), Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Registered Nurses with Additional Authorized Practice [RN(AAP)]. The CRNS sets high standards for nursing education, practice and registration including initial and ongoing licensure requirements, practice standards, approval of nursing programs, continuing competence requirements and competence assurance mechanisms such as complaints investigation and the discipline process.

To contribute to this tradition and advance quality, competent nursing care in Saskatchewan, the CRNS is seeking a **permanent full-time.**

**Assistant, Communications & Public Relations**

Reporting to the Director, Communications & Public Relations, the Assistant, Communications & Public Relations has dual responsibilities.

The Assistant, Communications & Public Relations position is the first point of contact for the organization. The Assistant greets visitors, callers and addresses their queries with accuracy and efficiency. This position also provides assistant support for the Communications & Public Relations department.

**Core Competencies**:

- Welcome visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries.
- Maintain security by following procedures; monitoring a logbook; issuing visitor access.
- Document daily calls and compile reports to monitor member and public inquiries and needs.
- Receive and sort all incoming and outgoing mail.
- Process mailouts and ensure daily mail runs.
- Call members for payments and accept payments by phone and in cash.
- Provide back-up for other administrative assistant positions, as required.

**Education/Experience**:

- Completion of Grade 12, supplemented by business training and/or college or university
- Three to five years recent relevant experience in an administrative/customer relations role
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and mail machines
- Excellent time management skills, able to juggle multiple projects, organize workload and set priorities
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening

**Salary**: $40,601.00-$54,931.00 per year
