Melrose Paving Co. Ltd. is located in the heart of Mississauga and we are looking for an **Accounts Payable Administrator** to join our growing team.

This position is an integral part of the company that works very closely in supporting the organizations in achieving their business objectives. You will be solely responsible to manage and process all accounts payables. This position needs a driven team player with a have a high level of enthusiasm. You must possess strong time management skills, ability to work independently with a confident personality to take on responsibilities and meet tight deadlines.

Reporting directly to the Controller, this position demands strong communication skills, initiative, exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to proactively manage tasks at once. If you possess the skills, then we want to speak with you

As an **Accounts Payable Administrator**, you will work within our team to achieve our business objectives with the following responsibilities:

- Perform matching and coding of invoices and processing payment
- Handle vendor queries and reconcile vendor statements with corresponding payments
- Bank reconciliation knowledge and experience. Handle VISA payment transactions.
- Weekly cheque runs
- Maintaining, accurate and up to date tracking, filing and payments of vendor invoices and all relevant documentation
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Update and reconcile sub-ledger to GL. Experience with project accounting.
- Carry out additional duties as required

Qualifications:

- 3-5 years of experience in high volume AP processing (construction industry preferred)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to process data fast and with accuracy
- Ability to exercise good judgment and prioritize among a multitude of tasks
- Organized with an attention to detail
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Strong Excel skills
- Self-motivated, who strives to perform outside of their job description
- Strong computer skills, working experience with Maestro Software would be an asset as well as intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel)
