**About the Opportunity**:
TNC is hiring a qualified Heavy Equipment Operator for work in and around the Kelowna area. TNC offers full time Monday to Friday employment with opportunities for paid overtime.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Civil construction experience required, local Okanagan experience is an asset
- 5+ years as an operator of heavy machinery; using bobcat / excavator / roller / loader
- Valid class 5 drivers license, with reliable transportation
- Good physical condition, able to lift 50lbs repetitively if needed
- Good communication skills, speaking positively and effectively as needed
- First Aid certification is an asset
- Confined space certification is an asset
- Flexible schedule is an asset
- Must have Topcon GPS experience
- Excellent punctuality and attendance

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Conduct daily inspections on machines prior to use
- Participate in daily/weekly site meetings
- Understand WorksafeBC safety policies and comply while executing daily tasks
- Follow direction from site supervisor, however can work on own with mínimal supervision
- Loading trucks, spreading material, digging trenches
- Able to assist groundcrew if needed
- Able to assist in installing pipe if needed
- Ensure machines are left clean and safe at the end of the day
- Accurate reporting of daily time to supervisor via electronic submission
