The Role:

- Rakuten Kobo Inc. is looking for a Recruitment Intern to join our Global Recruitment team Reporting to the Manager, Global Recruitment, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a broad range of recruitment projects and initiatives, supporting business units across the globe.

The Recruitment Intern will receive well-rounded exposure to numerous areas of recruiting, including process mapping, reporting, employer branding, and diversity & inclusion. Additionally, you will learn how Talent Acquisition supports the overall organization and gain insights into working in a Human Resources role in a fast paced, growing technology company.

In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be available to work full time for a period of one year.

What you’ll be doing:
Recruitment Coordination Liaise with recruitment affiliates to ensure postings are up to date on partner job boardsAdministration- Draft offer letters for full time and student hires-
- Help facilitate employee and contractor onboarding-
- Reporting and tracking KPI’s for the recruitment team- Recruitment Operations- Maintain job requisitions in Workday to ensure they are kept up to date-
- Own the integration of new tools to help streamline hiring process-
- Create, maintain, and update recruitment process documentationThe Skillset:
Required:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)-
- High level of ethical integrity in relation to confidential information-
- Comfortable communicating in a professional manner across all levels of the organization-
- High attention to detail and follow strict data integrity practices-
- Ability to be flexible and take on ad hoc responsibilities-
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills-
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously-
- Takes initiative, can work without supervision and begin tasks independently-
- Highly organized and detail orientedNice to have:
- Familiarity of applicant tracking and CRM systems (e.g. Workday, Beamery)-
- Knowledge of recruiting tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and Glassdoor-
