Powerline Plus Ltd. provides quality solutions to public utilities, municipalities and developers, as well as to industrial, national and international manufacturing companies across the GTA.

Powerline Plus Ltd. is looking for a self-directed, highly motivated HR professional with excellent communication skills. The HR Recruiter will be responsible for all aspects of human resources including full cycle recruitment, employee relations, facilitating orientation, training, attendance management, policy and performance management.

**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Completion of Post-Secondary degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations or related discipline
- A minimum of five (3) years’ experience as a Human Resources Recruiter, Human Resources Generalist or Human Resources Coordinator role within a union environment
- Advanced knowledge of the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and other applicable legislation
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) considered an asset
- High degree of confidentiality, discretion and judgment required

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Full cycle recruitment for union and nonunion roles
- Onboarding and Offboarding
- Maintaining employee database
- Facilitating new worker orientation sessions
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing human resources policies and procedures in accordance with the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and other relevant legislation, conducting
- Maintains employee benefit programs and informs employees of benefits, recommending
- Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees
- Screen applicants by carefully matching experience, education and qualifications to the job criteria as well as conducting video, phone and in-person interviews
- Make recommendations and provide guidance to managers making hiring decisions
- Prepare and distribute official offers of employment
- Tracking and monitoring employee absences recommending disciplinary action as necessary
- Ensure that all employee files have the most current information and training documentation by ensuring all employee databases’ and spreadsheets are cohesive
- Registering, tracking and monitoring all Powerline apprentices with the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development and ensure compliance with apprentice training standards set forth by the Ontario College of Trades
- Processing applicable termination paperwork upon the cessation of employment
- Actively participate in the review of job descriptions
- Support departmental managers with various projects and assignments on an as needed basis
