Guelph Manufacturing has 3 plants in Guelph, Ontario, and our APMF plant in Atlanta, Georgia. Guelph Manufacturing's sales office is located in Warren, Michigan.

Guelph Manufacturing Group Inc. is currently hiring an **Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator.**

**Your accountabilities will include**:
**Environmental**:

- Maintenance of ISO14001 across all of facilities
- Maintain and monitor environmental programs and policies
- Conduct required environmental observations, tests, and analysis
- Inspect hazardous waste/materials storage areas
- Assist in identifying the training requirements of all personnel as related to the Environmental Management Systems
- Keep records to make sure the organization is complying with all environmental laws
- Researching and writing reports on new environmental practices if required
- Review and complete environmental audits and identify areas for improvement
- Review all incident reports and investigations to ensure that the root cause is identified corrective actions are taken

**Health & Safety**:

- Liaison with all external government agencies (WSIB).
- Maintain and revise the Health & Safety program & policies.
- Promote awareness to all employees in Health & Safety.
- Develop training plans & schedules for instructional training on Health & Safety.
- To review and audit the Health & Safety Program annually.
- To assist and advise senior management on occupational Health & Safety Act/Regulation and any new legislation pertaining to Health & Safety.
- Coordinate the Manufacturer Sector, Certification Program for the JHSC Worker Representative /Manager/Members/Supervisors and sitting as an Advisory member and Management member.
- To support and assist the Joint Health and Safety Committee Members on the monthly meetings and recommend training as necessary.
- To review and investigate medical aid and critical injuries as well as Accident/Injury/Incident Reports and make recommendations as necessary for future investigation.
- To maintain contact with employees on medical leave, and coordinating return to work.
- To manage Modified Work Program for employees in conjunction with the caseworker from WSIB.
- To track on a monthly basis, all injuries, and lost time hours per month for ongoing WSIB claims.
- Track and prepare Supervisors’ Health & Safety talks.

**What are we looking for?**
- Must have at least 3+ years of experience working in an environmental field
- Must have 3+ years experience working in Health & Safety
- Must have post-secondary education or certifications in the Environmental Field or Health & Safety
- Working knowledge of environmental policies and regulations
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively transfer knowledge to a diverse group of learners
- Must have excellent organization, computer (spreadsheets, word processing, and various databases) skills.
