**Job Summary**
**Duties**
- Plan and conduct engaging soccer practices that focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Educate players on the rules of soccer, game strategies, and techniques to improve their performance.
- Assess individual player skills and provide constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Organize and lead games, ensuring all players understand their roles and responsibilities during matches.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and other coaches to promote a cohesive team environment.
- Monitor player attendance and participation in practices and games.
- Foster a love for the sport while emphasizing the importance of teamwork, discipline, and respect for others.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience playing or coaching soccer is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate players effectively.
- A positive attitude with a passion for teaching and mentoring young athletes.
- Ability to swim is considered a nice-to-have skill for safety during outdoor practices or events near water bodies.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for practices and games.

**Eligibility (Ontario Youth Employment Program)**:
Be between **15-30 years of age** at the start of the position
Be a **Canadian Citizen**, **Permanent Resident**, or **Refugee** (status granted/conferred)
Have a valid **Social Insurance Number (SIN)**
❌ **Not eligible**: International students or those in Canada on a work, youth, or visitor visa/permit
**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 9 weeks
Pay: $18.55 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
Expected start date: 2025-04-28
