**Position Summary**

The **Merchandise Planner** will play a key role in driving GreenTee Golf Shop’s retail and e-commerce growth by developing data-driven merchandise strategies across both golf hardlines (clubs, balls, rangefinders, training aids, accessories) and softlines (apparel, headwear, gloves).
This position focuses on **assortment planning, demand forecasting, pricing analysis, promotional optimization, and competitive market intelligence** to maximize sales, margin, and inventory efficiency across multiple channels.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Strategy & Assortment**
- Support annual and seasonal merchandising strategy development using market insights and sales data.
- Define category positioning, assortment mix, price structure, and seasonal launch calendars.

**2. Competitive & Market Analysis**
- Conduct ongoing **competitive analysis** across major retailers (e.g., Golf Town, PGA Superstore, Sporting Life, Lululemon Golf).
- Benchmark **pricing, assortment depth, seasonal campaigns, and sell-through trends**.
- Provide actionable recommendations to enhance GreenTee’s category differentiation and market positioning.

**3. Vendor Management & Buying Support**
- Collaborate with vendors on SKU selection, buy quantities, and delivery timelines.
- Conduct data analysis to support vendor evaluations and negotiation decisions.

**4. Demand, Inventory & Pricing**
- Develop and refine demand forecasts and buy plans; maintain optimal safety stock levels.
- Analyze pricing, markdowns, and promotions to optimize sell-through and gross margin.

**5. Analytics & Reporting**
- Track key performance metrics: sales, gross margin, sell-through, inventory turns, and aged stock.
- Prepare seasonal reviews and vendor scorecards, providing actionable recommendations.

**6. Store Merchandising Support**
- Assist in product curation, floor layout planning, and visual merchandising updates.
- Collaborate with retail operations for campaign execution and in-store launches.

**7. Cross-Functional Collaboration**
- Partner with Marketing for product storytelling and campaign alignment.
- Coordinate with Operations and E-commerce on product allocation, PDP quality, and logistics schedules.

**Qualifications**
- 1+ years of experience in merchandise planning, buying, or category management (retail or brand side).
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in competitive and market trend analysis.
- Knowledge of golf products (hardline or softline) and seasonal sales patterns.
- Advanced Excel proficiency and comfort with retail KPIs and reporting.
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Passion for golf and customer experience.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience in golf retail or multi-brand environment (e.g., Golf Town, Lululemon, MEC).
- Familiarity with ERP or planning tools (e.g., Lightspeed, Netsuite).
- Understanding of visual merchandising and trade show support.
