**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Fabricate and assemble components for fire sprinkler systems according to industry standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.
- Install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipe in supports
- Instruct apprentices
- Service and repair sprinkler system
- Test system for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipment
- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
- Select type and size of pipe required
- On-call on a rotation basis

**Skills**
- Strong fabrication skills with experience in building various components.
- Ability to read and understand schematics effectively.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fittings.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues that may arise during installation or maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Problem solving.
- Mechanical knowledge.
