**Job title: HSSE Coordinator**

**Work Schedule: 14 days on and 14 days off - 12 hours shift daily**

**Location: Gogama, ON (Côté Gold Site)**

**Job Overview**:
The HSSE Coordinator provides support to the Site Services Coordinator and crew in all aspects related to Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE). The primary responsibility of the HSSE Coordinator is to ensure HSSE coverage, manage inquiries and incidents, and oversee HSSE-related functions and administration. This role ensures that the site operates safely and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Coordinate HSSE-related systems and processes.
- Audit subcontractors to ensure HSSE compliance.
- Review and assist in the creation of Job Hazard Analyses.
- Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions are documented and implemented to ensure compliance.
- Promote behavioural-based safety programs, such as job observation and stop-and-correct initiatives.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance among supervisors and field personnel.
- Prepare inspection schedules for all committee members.
- Attend weekly meetings and provide reports to FPCL management and clients, including statistics, concerns, and incidents.
- Conduct and document workplace inspections.
- Assist supervisors in problem-solving, addressing worker concerns, and enforcing disciplinary actions.
- Attend project start-up meetings and coordinate site-specific health and safety requirements.
- Verify and maintain records of worker certifications and trade qualifications, ensuring training logs are up to date.
- Perform other duties as required.

**Education/Qualifications**:

- Diploma, Certificate, or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is an asset.
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation preferred.
- National Construction Safety Officer certification is an asset.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
- Strong communication and time management skills required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Valid G-Class Driver’s License.
- In-depth knowledge of Provincial OHSA regulations and other governing health and safety legislation.
