**Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Production Worker to join our team at our Oak Bluff location.**

**HIRING FOR TERM POSITION (6 Months)**

**What You Will Do**:

- Set up and operate various machinery such as grinders, washers, riveters, paint machines, bag sealers and packaging
- Perform a variety of tasks involving sorting shoe cores, painting, washing, delining, riveting, and grinding
- Daily inspection of equipment and proactively reporting subpar equipment conditions and any mechanical/production concerns to ensure safety standards are met
- Safely maintain required productivity levels and proper machinery usage
- Maintain the required quality of work throughout and follow the process to the result of packaging for retail sale
- Uphold and embody FGI Customer Service Standards and Core Values with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
- Champion FGI's safety culture by performing all duties within established procedures and practices
- Other duties as assigned.

**What We Require**:

- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- Handling of normal stock will include lifting or carrying parts more than 30 lbs.
- Experience operating automated machinery within a production environment an asset
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail.
