We maintain our company motto of Quality, Schedule and Cost encompassed in a strong safety culture **Position**:Heavy Duty Equipment Technician - Remote/Home base Hamilton, ON **Job Location**:Hamilton, ON home base & Travel to Project Sites across Canada **Duties**: - Order parts and maintain inventory/ mobile service equipment supplied/ service trucks - Keep maintenance reports and documentation - Diagnosis, repair, maintenance and service of Aerial working platforms, telehandlers, mobile and crawler cranes, minor highway tractors, and other construction equipment. - Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts - Perform annual mechanical safeties on all equipment adhering to all federal and provincial legislation **Qualifications & Requirements**: - Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A): > 4 years (preferred) - Must have knowledge of: Fuel injection systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, lubrication systems, engine control systems, major internal engine repairs or overhaul, vehicle brake systems, hydraulic systems, electrical/electronic systems and fluent in interpreting schematics for diagnosing purposes - Valid G Licence - Provide a Driving Abstract - Physically demanding, attention to detail, manual dexterity, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, hand-eye co-ordination - Excellent oral communication, judgement, dependability, reliability, team player, accurate - Willing to travel **Other Details**: - 10 Hour Shift Daily - Must have your own basic PPE including a hard hat - visible Vest and approved steel toed work boots - Travel and accommodation are provided **COVID-19 protocols are in place at sites.** As part of Scott Steel Erectors commitment to accessibility, we will ensure equality by providing a selection process and work environment that is inclusive and barrier free.
