**Responsibilities**:
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to the success of the safety program
- Daily site paperwork, timesheets, etc.
- Build hoardings and concrete sidewalk forming
- Perform tasks as required on construction site
- Erecting and building scaffold for concrete formwork decks
- Excellent knowledge of the construction, and installation of engineered formwork system for columns, walls and suspended slabs, slab on grade and stairs
- Operate and maintain small tools
- Shoveling and site clean up
- Building foundations, installing floor beams, laying sub-flooring and installing walls and roofing systems
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and sketches
- Interface with the client and other contractors on site
- Help solve issues as they arise
- Stripping and removal of concrete formwork after concrete pours
- Interior finishing; case, base, hang doors and window liners
- Installation of anchor bolts
- Work under pressure and deadlines
**Requirements**:
- 4+ years of carpentry experience
- Working knowledge of the construction industry, including concrete, forming and framing
- Positive attitude and a team player
- Heavy equipment operating skills
- Able to work outside in all-weather at all times of the year
- Physically fit and able to lift 50 pounds or more
- Able to do extensive physical labour
- Valid provincial driver’s license
**Assets**:
- Recent working experience in similar role
- First aid training
- Concrete finishing experience
- Red seal certification

This position is compensated at an hourly rate. Employees are eligible for enrollment in our company benefits package following successful completion of a three month probationary period.
