**Job description**
Located in Sherwood Park, Branches Fresh Food Experience is situated in Greenland Garden Centre; Canada’s award winning gift & garden centre. Visitors to Branches come to enjoy our unique menu featuring seasonal ingredients, daily baked goods, authentic wood fired pizza, sumptuous salads and appetizers.
Our location offers diners an experience unlike any other. Friends gather to shop Greenland’s collections of décor, fashion, plants and more, then sip and savour indoors in the cozy eatery, or outdoors on one of the most relaxing patios in the Edmonton area.
The Line Cook will assist the ‘Branches’ restaurant kitchen staff in day to day food preparation and will be essential in supporting the ongoing responsibilities of the kitchen.
**Duties**:
- Cooking, prepping and assembling a variety of dishes
- Washing, slicing, trimming and weighing of food to ensure quality and portion control standards
- Ensure the kitchen, work surfaces and floors are kept clean at all times
- Follow correct food, hygiene and safety standards
**Qualifications**:
- Previous kitchen experience
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently without supervision according to tight production schedules
- A sound knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen and the discipline to enforce those standards
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
