Winnipeg, Canada Holy Family Home Full time

Casual positions are available in Nutrition and Food Services. Usual shift times in the department range between the hours of 0600 and 1830 hrs and shifts will be scheduled every other weekend (or more weekends if mutually agreed upon by employee and employer); other shifts may be assigned outside of this range as determined by the department for special functions. Position involves ware washing, pot washing and major cleaning.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be able to competently read, write, and understand English, and follow written and oral instructions in English. A current Certified Food Handlers Certificate is required.
The successful applicant will, first and foremost, demonstrate accountability, initiative and responsibility. Must be physically able to perform assigned duties in an environment of heat, moisture, strong detergents and temperature fluctuations. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with mínimal supervision. Emphasis on cleanliness and safety that results in meeting residents', visitors' and staff expectations through quality food service and customer service. Must be tidy in appearance and have a high level of personal hygiene. Must be sympathetic to the needs of the resident and other customers.
Position involves lifting, repetitive bending, stretching, moving, and standing for long periods of time. Positions involve working with chemicals and following WHMIS
