**Aramark is hiring cooks for the Food Services at Bishop’s University**

Position: Cook
Location: Bishop’s University (2600 Rue Collège, Sherbrooke, QC, J1M 1Z7)

**Salary**: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience (to be discussed)
Start Date: As soon as possible in 2025

**Responsibilities**:

- Cook and prepare various foods following production guidelines and standardized recipes.
- Prepare the daily menu.
- Set up the workstation with all necessary ingredients and equipment.
- Measure, weigh, mix, chop, cut, and peel food items as needed.
- Ensure quantities are accurate and food quality meets Aramark standards.
- Demonstrate creativity while meeting client requirements.
- Optimize food costs.
- Assist with meal service.
- Complete production, temperature, and waste records, etc.
- Participate in stock inventory.
- Comply with workplace health, safety, and hygiene standards in accordance with legislation, company policies, and MAPAQ requirements.

**Qualifications**:

- 2-3 years of experience in food service or the restaurant industry.
- Catering preparation experience (asset).
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to work independently.
- MAPAQ hygiene and food safety certification (asset).
- Able to work under pressure during peak hours.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Culinary diploma (asset).

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
