**Education**: College/CEGEP

**Experience**: Preferably 6 months previous experience in a licensed childcare

**Work Site Environment**: Non-smoking

Wage: $20 to $22 per hour + $4 per hour wage enhancement

**Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses**: Child development assistant (ECE level 1), Child development worker (ECE level 2)

**Tasks**:

- Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers,
- Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical,
- cognitive, emotional and social development of children,
- Storytelling, Order supplies and equipment,
- Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children,
- Assist Early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records,
- Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts,
- Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties,
- Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods,
- Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors,
- Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings,
- Knowledge of licensing regulations,
- Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children,
- Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours

**Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities**: Physically demanding, Bending, crouching, kneeling

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

- North Vancouver, BC V7L 2N1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
