HR and Onboarding Specialist

**The Opportunity;**
In this Part Time role you will provide HR Generalist support to the Toronto office, supporting both US and Canada, acting as a point of contact for all HR related queries from employees in this region, while working as part of the Global HR team based in the UK.
You will be the local point of contact for basic advice and guidance on matters of employee relations, policies and procedures, engagement, onboarding, and learning and development. You’ll be tasked with providing advice which is in line with employment law relevant to the jurisdiction you are supporting and seeking support from the UK based HR Operations team.
To support the delivery of payroll and ensure our systems are managed and held up to date with accurate information and data.
To support the delivery of learning and development initiatives, including some delivery of training programs, under the guidance and support of the UK based Global HR Team.
This role reports into the Director of finance for the region and supports managing the compliance requirements of our operations and workers in the region.
**We are looking for individuals with;**
- Experience within coordination or advisory role within a HR or L&D department
- Good knowledge of local labor law
- Proactive and able to use own initiative
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Have a ‘can-do’ attitude with a willingness to go above and beyond the minimum expectation
