**Status: Part Time TEMPORARY**

**Department: Mental Health Rehabilitation Level 2**

**Site: St. Joseph's Hospital**

**Shifts: Days/Nights including Weekends**

**Rate of Pay: $30.86 - $31.26 per hour**

**Qualifications**:

- Currently registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
- Mental health experience required
- Knowledge of psychiatric illnesses/diagnosis, treatment, relevant legislation (MHA, HCCA, OH&S, PHIPA), PSR/recovery, understanding of least restraint and safety devices, and evidence-based practices related to serious mental illness
- Knowledge of nursing practice standards and practice guidelines
- Skills in nursing assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation
- Advanced skills in communication; therapeutic, interpersonal and written
- Ability to build professional nurse-client relationships
- Advanced critical thinking skills including problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and an interprofessional team
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload efficiently and effectively
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work is required

**Assets**:

- Community based Mental Health and Addictions experience.

**CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT**
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
