Seasonal Part-time Landfill Attendant

The Technical Services department is looking for a part-time Seasonal Landfill Attendant to assist with the day-to-day running of the Clairmont Centre for Recycling and Waste Management.
**TYPICAL DUTIES INCLUDE**:
- Scale operation/ customer service
- Assisting customers with recycling information and proper use of transfer station areas
- Light equipment operation
- Maintaining the landfill facilities, and grounds
- Spotting loads and educating users
- Lawn mowing
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- A valid Class 5 driver's license
- Clean criminal records check and driver's abstract
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office software
- Previous landfill experience is an asset
- Farm machinery and/or heavy equipment operation is an asset
- Ability to effectively and courteously interact with waste haulers, the public and co-workers
- Willing and able to undertake labour (lifting, sweeping, cleaning, shoveling)
- Landfill and/or Transfer Station Certification considered an asset.
This position is Seasonal Part-time for two days a week; 10 hour days, Monday and Saturday with the opportunity for additional days for coverage when needed.
