**Job description**

Store Support & Administrative Assistant required for leading Burlington Jewellery retailer.
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier’s ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
- Perform partial checks of the posting process
- Enter data, maintain records, and lunch reports and financial statements
- Process accounts receivable/payable and handle timesheets in a timely manner
- Assist in inventory control including price changes, tags, and tracking
- Store administration duties such as, collect mail, banking transactions, answering phones, ordering office supplies filing, store set up and other tasks as required

**Skills**
- Retail environment but hours are Tuesday to Friday.
- Must be flexible during seasonal peak periods.
- Retail sales experience an asset as occasional assistance may be required on the sales floor
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with proficiency with basic math
- Hands-on experience Quickbooks
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- Customer service
- High degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail

Expected start date: Immediately

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience

Schedule:

- 8.5 hour shift
- Tuesday to Friday with occasional flexibility

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- administrative assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
