**Junior Buyer**

This position is an integral part of our SolutionAir Purchasing team and reports to the Plant Manager. The Junior Buyer is responsible for the efficient procurement of complex materials and services.- Provide excellent service to internal customers, enabling operational excellence.
- Creating Purchase Order for material and services with Corporate Purchasing Procedures.
- Monitoring open PO reports and expediting when appropriate.
- Managing safety stock levels.
- Provide the highest levels of service to production customers.
- Developing and maintaining business relationships with suppliers and business associates.
- Executing supplier ratings.
- Assisting Intermediate and Senior Buyers in RFP process.
- Analyzing cost reduction opportunities and providing recommendations to Purchasing Supervisor.
- Ensuring all relevant documentation is completed with all required information for the purposes of obtaining approvals and recording and reporting business.
- Participating in training opportunities as per annual development plans.
- Participating in cross-training opportunities throughout the department,
- Supporting lean initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A high school diploma and a minimum of 3 years’ experience or a SMT and a minimum of 2 years’ experience or a 4-year University Degree.
- A basic understanding of Corporate Purchasing procedures.
- Demonstrated initiative and motivation to simultaneously handle moderately complex.
- procurement assignments in a team environment.
- An understanding of various functions and responsibilities of the various departments and divisions throughout the corporation.
- Practical knowledge of the various materials and services used throughout the corporation.
