Townsview Estates is a licensed 51-bed Residential Care Facility located in Truro, NS. We have a great team of long-standing, dedicated staff who provide care with dignity to our seniors. Please send us your resume if you are interested in joining our team

Applicant must be willing and able to cross train in our Housekeeping and Dietary Departments for casual employment. Must be available for weekend shifts. Shifts will be both pre-booked and call ins.

Looking for someone who is reliable, has attention to detail and is hard working. Experience working with seniors is an asset.

**Housekeeping Department**:
To maintain a clean and safe environment for staff, residents and visitors.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Thorough cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, and overall facility
- Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing
- Disinfecting high touch areas
- Restocking of supplies
- Resident laundry
- To accept extra assigned duties outside your daily assignments
- ex. resident moves, spring cleaning

**Dietary Department**:
Duties include but are not limited to:

- Performing dishwashing duties as per procedures
- Assisting cooks with meal preparations
- Setting up tables in dining rooms
- Serving tea, coffee, juices to residents
- Washing pots & pans
- Sweeping & Mopping
- Peeling vegetables

**Requirements for working in both departments**:

- High school education
- Clean vulnerable sector and criminal record check
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Availability for call ins and weekends
- Physical capability to perform work duties such as heaving lifting for dishes, moving furniture to sweep and mop is a necessity

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $17.60 per hour

- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
