Baking Assistant and Customer Service Associate

We're hiring a combined customer service and baking position for our Village at Pineridge Hollow location. We expect a mix of customer service, bread production, and pastry responsibilities responsibilities year-round, with full-time hours in the peak May-October season and some flexibility expected in the slower months. This is a great opportunity to develop baking skills and experience, and we have some room to shape the balance of duties based on interests and aptitude.

Duties: (not all at the same time)
- Welcome and serve guests
- Slice bread and package for sale
- Bake off morning pastry products for retail sale
- Produce pies, tart shells, croissants, scones, cinnamon buns and more
- Assist with bread production as required
- Keep a clean work space and assist with deep-clean tasks and dishes
- Assist with kitchen prep as needed

Expect Thursday-Monday, 20-35 hours total

**Requirements**:

- Strong interest in baking
- Work experience in one of: bakery/grocery/cafe/restaurant customer service; bakery production; food service
- Strong independent work ethic
- Excellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
- Weekend availability (especially in the off-season)
- Ability to lift 50lbs and stay on feet for long periods
- Interest in wholesome food and local ingredients

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.50-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
