Our Sudbury Operations have been in existence for more than 100 years. With five mines, a mill, a smelter, a refinery and nearly 4,000 employees it is also one of the largest integrated mining complexes in the world. Sudbury is also home to several administrative sites serving both the Ontario Operations as well as all our North Atlantic Operations.

Port Colborne is home to our Nickel Refinery where raw materials from our Sudbury operations are processed into electrocobalt and precious metals and serves as a distribution centre for finished nickel products.

**The Opportunity**

We are currently seeking a **Manager, Asset Management Process **to join our **Asset Management Process team **in **Sudbury **. This is a permanent position.

As a Manager, Asset Management Process, you will be accountable for leading the implementation and improvement in organisational maturity and delivery of the VPS Routine Management (Asset Management) Technical processes and systems across the North Atlantic operations in the Base Metals. This role will partner with the Heads of Mining and Processing for North Atlantic, their leadership teams and the Base Metals Centre of Excellence partners to succesfully deliver a measurable improvement in maturity within the organisation. This role will lead the development, implementation, management and optimization of the VPS Routine Management (Asset Management) program for the operations including the deployment of technology enabled solutions that support the process.

Some of the other major accountabilities include:

- Work cross functionally in the development and management of the Work Management/VPS Technical program, which encompasses systems (i.e. SAP), processes, procedures, standards, KPIs, analysis and tools that will maximize business value for the operations.
- Work with management teams to confirm compliance to the Work Management/VPS Technical program (processes, standards, tools) and to ensure that deficiencies identified through assessments and audits are improved appropriately.
- Manage the development of training modules and facilitates the training of business process and systems to managers and the other end users in conjunction with other Vale departments.
- Lead SAP Master Data governance for all sites in the North Atlantic operations.
- Build Work Management/VPS Technical role holder competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities) in site managers and superintendent roles.
- Provide recommendations on strategic investment in equipment, technology and initiatives to optimize asset value.
- Build an effective, flexible team ensuring they have the right skills, knowledge and experience to safely provide Work Management/VPS Technical services in the operations they are part of.

**About You**

Education**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering (P.Eng, Engineer tech, Trade/Red Seal)

**Experience**:

- 10-15 years of maintenance leadership experience.
- Experience in building and leading multidiscipline teams across geographies.

**Skills**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, planning organizational and time management skills
- Strong software skills in Microsoft Office products AND Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (i.e. SAP)
- Required to travel to lead team effectively (once a month)
