DataSkillz is looking for a entry-level cybersecurity specialist/associate in Calgary, Alberta

**Primary Responsibilities**

Provides support for a program, organization, system, or enclave’s information assurance program.

Provides support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.

Maintains operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.

Assists with the management of security aspects of the information system and performs day-to-day security operations of the system.

Evaluates security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.

Performs vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation.

Provides configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.

Manages changes to the system and assesses the security impact of those changes.

Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

College diploma or certificate in cybersecurity, information security, information systems, network administration, or related discipline

Good to have 6 month to 1 year hands-on experience however not required as we encourage fresh graduates to apply.

Understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), Penetration testing, digital forensics, and defense strategies

Familiarity with network technologies (LAN & WAN) and best practices within a classified environment to include crypto and key management.

Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (workstation & server), Linux, and system virtualization (multiple hypervisors) in a secure network environment.
