**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Transportation **Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently for the transportation of goods, equipment, and materials as required.
- **Loading and Unloading **Safely handle heavy items exceeding 20 kg during loading and unloading processes.
- **Charge and Discharge** Manage the charge and discharge procedures for goods and equipment in a well-organized and timely manner.
- **On-Call Availability **Be ready to respond to transportation requests on short notice, ensuring that the business's needs are met.
- **Route Planning **Diligently follow route directions, make strategic decisions based on traffic conditions, and utilize a comprehensive knowledge of the GTA.
- **Basic Mechanical Skills** Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
- **Safety Compliance** Adhere to all safety regulations, including traffic laws and company policies, to maintain a secure working environment.
- **Documentation** Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, transported goods, and other pertinent documentation.
- **Customer Service** Interact professionally with customers, delivering excellent service while representing the company.

**Qualifications**:

- Possession of a valid Full G driver's license that has more than 3 years of driving history.
- Ability to safely lift and handle items exceeding 20 kg.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Willingness to work on call as required.
- Basic mechanical skills for routine vehicle maintenance.
- Proficiency in route navigation and the ability to make strategic route decisions based on traffic conditions in the Greater Toronto Area.
- Knowledge of and adherence to all relevant traffic and safety regulations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good physical stamina and resilience.

**Working Conditions**:

- The role may require exposure to various weather conditions.
- The driver may need to work irregular hours and be available on short notice.
- This role may involve heavy lifting and physical exertion.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Morning shift
- On call
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Driving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
