**Position Overview**: Compugen is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst specializing in vulnerability analysis and reporting, utilizing the Qualys platform. You will a vital role in proactive cybersecurity defense and compliance initiatives. This is for an initial 1 year contract working on site.
**Key Responsibilities**:Primary Function - Vulnerability Analysis and Reporting**
- Perform routine vulnerability scans and assessments using Qualys to detect and document system security weaknesses.
- Interpret scan findings, assess risk levels, and produce clear, actionable reports for IT and business stakeholders.
- Partner with IT and CyberSecurity teams to design and execute effective remediation strategies for identified vulnerabilities.
- Monitor and report on remediation progress, ensuring vulnerabilities are resolved within defined SLAs and compliance standards.
- Continuously refine scanning methodologies and reporting workflows to strengthen overall security posture.

**Secondary Function - Access Hygiene and Compliance Enforcement**
- Enforce access controls in alignment with Cenovus’s compliance policies, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Support compliance audits by supplying accurate access data and collaborating with internal teams to remediate any findings.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of access governance frameworks, including role-based access control and least privilege principles.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: 1-3 years in cybersecurity, with a focus on vulnerability management and access compliance.
- Experience within the Oil and Gas industry is an asset.
- ** Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency with Qualys Vulnerability Management.
- Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles and best practices.
- Experience with compliance and governance frameworks (e.g., SOX, PCI).
- Working knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and general IT infrastructure.
- **Education**: University or college degree in IT, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- ** Soft Skills**: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
