**Electronics Assembly & Testing Technician**

**Maple Ridge Pay Range**:$20-22.00 per hour to commensurate with experience

Electronics Assembly and Test Technicians will build, analyze systems and conduct various performance and production-related tests on equipment and instruments used in the production area.

**Responsibilities**:

- Build cable assemblies and mechanical sub-assemblies.
- Read and interpret instructions and wiring diagrams.
- Assemble parts and use tools to fit electronic components together.
- Edit and update work instructions as necessary.
- Assemble electrical or electronic components, sub-assemblies, wiring, and enclosures using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment.
- Test functional performance of completed products.
- Troubleshooting of testing non conformances.
- Assist the technical teams with recommendations to resolve testing problems.
- Calibrate and repair various testing equipment and tools.
- Strong working knowledge of good safety practices. Know when to ask for help.Daily cleanup and maintenance of work area.
- **Work Schedule**
- Monday through Friday
- 7am - 330pmOvertime possible due to project load
- **Qualification and Skills**:

- Programming background (Visual Basic, Python, CRBasic, C++, Java, etc.)
- Electrical/Electronic background - Understand basic electronic circuits and theory.
- Electric/Software debugging skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic Networking IP knowledge
- Experience in a testing methodology area.
- Mechanical assembly experience
- Understand mechanical assembly/drawing.
- Electronics assembly, soldering and wire crimping.
- Computer skills including databases, spreadsheets.
- Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and hands-on skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team to meet tight deadlines.
- Be able to communicate effectively with other departments about problems/issues.Ability to manage your time effectively by proactively preparing code, and documentation.
Experience troubleshooting for a customer**:

- Work with geotechnical sensors, weather stations, cell/satellite modems
- Basic Networking IP knowledge**:

- Work with Analog (4-20mA, Voltage), and Digital Sensors
- Work with Campbell Scientific Data Loggers
- Protocols: MODBUS, RS485, RS232Soldering, cable wiring skills
