**Talent Acquisition / Onboarding Specialist**
**JOB SUMMARY**: The Talent Acquisition/Onboarding Specialist will offer full-cycle recruitment and onboarding support for our Canada and US operations. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR tasks, ensuring smooth HR operations, and providing support to employees and management. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, has strong communication and organizational skills, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
**Roles and Responsibilities**:
- Understand and adhere to all companies’ policies and procedures.
- Create job descriptions, job postings, and interview guides, for internal positions.
- Coordinate interviews for the hiring teams and internalize interview feedback.
- Coordinating background checks, and pre-employment tests.
- Extending onboarding documents which include an offer letter. Also, ensure all onboarding documents and pre-employment are compliant.
- Coordinating pre-employment tests and background checks.
- Ensure the recruitment and selection process aligns with employment laws and regulations.
- Stay up to date on recruitment trends and best practices.
- Work with our marketing team to grow the company's social media presence on LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.
- Work closely and build strong relationships with all internal stakeholders in Canada and US.
- Design and implement an overall recruiting strategy.
- Serves as a point of contact for all new hire questions.
- Provide guidance and timely support on various HR-related matters.
- Maintains appropriate electronic and Physical filing systems.
- Any other duties required by management.
**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applicant tracking systems.
- Exceptional flexibility with proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

- Understanding of employment law, Alberta / Saskatchewan Employment Standards, and Human Rights legislation.
**Physical Demands and Working Conditions**
- Frequent sitting, bending, twisting, and standing.
- Looking at a monitor for up to 8 hours a day.
- Talk on the phone for the majority of the day.
**Education, Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations**
- Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) is considered an asset.
- Certificate or diploma in Human Resources is considered an asset.
**Qualifications**:
- 2+ years of similar work-related experience.
- Oil and gas experience is an asset.
- Experience with HRIS systems. Ceridian Dayforce would be considered an asset.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems.
- Must be able to travel occasionally through Alberta/Saskatchewan.
- Must be able to travel to the United States if required with no restrictions.
- Must be legally able to work in Canada.
