Buyers are responsible for all activities pertaining to the purchase of materials used for research, testing and production of STEMCELL products. In this way, you’ll contribute to supporting scientists around the world who depend on our products to perform cancer, immunology, regenerative medicine, and other types of research.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Manage all aspects of purchases from requisition to delivery including issuing Purchase Orders, monitoring deliveries and invoices, maintaining ERP data integrity in accordance with Purchasing guidelines and best practices
- Assisting with issues related to invoicing and/or delivery, following up on returns or refunds for non-conforming materials
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships, acting as an interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Actively seek cost savings, documenting cost savings and contributing to the team's overall cost savings goals
- Highlight areas of supply risk, communicate and escalate appropriately

**Knowledge and Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years’ experience in a related role (will consider equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Ability to effectively manage day to day purchasing activities with a high degree of organization and attention to detail, while prioritizing conflicting tasks
- Experience with ERP system required. SAP experience preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite (including Excel / Google Sheets) required
