Leading overhead door company that specializes in providing high-quality doors for residential and commercial properties with a focus on craftsmanship and attention to detail is looking for an **Overhead Door Installation Lead** focused on commercial installations.

The Overhead Door Installation Lead is responsible for overseeing the installation and service of overhead doors and openers. This role provides leadership and service at all key stages of the project from initial planning to installation and troubleshooting issues, to performing service calls. This position is charged with ensuring that all steps are completed efficiently and safely. The Lead person will be responsible for managing junior staff and maintaining the company resources provided for the job such as work truck, lifting devices, safety equipment and tools. This position operates with a high level of communication with senior management to ensure timely project completion and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide estimates for installing doors, prepare initial quotes and initiate purchasing process.
- Plan, coordinate and carry out the installation of overhead doors and openers.
- Regularly coordinate with office staff on material requirements and documentation.
- Communicate with senior management regarding any operational issues.
- Maintain responsibility for the work truck and tools.
- Load and unload materials needed at the job site.
- Troubleshoot problems and perform service calls as needed.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of 4-5 years experience in commercial overhead door installation
- Prior leadership experience preferred.
- Valid insurable Class 5 driver's license
- Ability to handle physical aspects (incl. lifting 75 lbs.) associated with workload.
- Strong work ethic and ability to complete tasks on time.
- Basic electrical knowledge of opener power requirements.
- Mechanical and/or construction knowledge.
- Training in elevated work, manlift operation, fall protection, first aid.
