Structural Draftsperson

Responsibilities include participating in architectural and structural design, along with the coordination and preparation of drawings for a wide range of project types and clients. Projects include residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural buildings, solar panel retrofits and structural steel connections. The majority of our projects have short timelines and you will quickly gain experience in drafting and managing a variety of projects.

The salary is competitive, with 40 hour work weeks, and the potential for overtime work (billed time and a half) as needed. We have employee health benefits set up as well as RSP matching. We are located a 5 minute walk from the Hespeler & Pinebush iExpress bus stop and a 5 min drive from the Hespeler ramp to the 401 highway.

We have three engineers, three EITs, one site inspector, two project manager and three drafters on staff, along with 1-2 co-op student(s) in the office per four-month term. Our open office layout and project management tools allow for constant contact with co-workers for support or problem-solving, and you will have the opportunity to take on project management tasks as you develop. Opportunities to work from home are available as required.

**Requirements**:

- 5 years of experience in drafting in residential, agricultural or commercial projects
- Well educated in AutoCAD & Revit
- Familiarity of Google Sketchup and Solidworks would be helpful
- Strong understanding of the Ontario Building Code
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and understanding of drafting standards
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to meeting strict deadlines, hardworking, self-motivated, passion for quality, excellence, and self-improvement
- Experience with project management and client relations is an asset

**Salary**: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
