If you have this same drive, then let's talk **Purpose of the Role**: The Training & Development Associate plays a key role in coordinating onboarding and ongoing training initiatives, ensuring a seamless and impactful learning experience for employees and Advisors. This position is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing comprehensive learning and development programs that foster professional growth and strengthen core competencies across the division. As we build out Nicola University—our internal learning platform—this role brings critical expertise to optimize training strategies and support both new hire integration and continuous development ("everboarding") throughout the employee lifecycle. **Core Responsibilities**: **New Hire Onboarding Coordination** - Organize and schedule new hire orientation sessions, liaising with presenters and internal stakeholders. - Facilitate relevant onboarding sessions - Ensure onboarding materials are up to date and accessible (e.g., presentations, handbooks, learning portals). - Serve as the point of contact for new hires regarding onboarding-related queries. - Track onboarding progress and completion, flagging issues to relevant stakeholders. **Training Coordination & Support** - Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including room bookings, virtual setup, calendar invites, and materials distribution. - Maintain and update the training calendar and registration process. - Assist in the administration of the learning management system (currently SharePoint), including uploading content and tracking participation. - Monitor and report on attendance, engagement, and completion rates. - Assist with employee communications related to training programs, including announcements, reminders, and feedback surveys. **Instructional Design & Training Delivery** - Assist with the design and development of learning materials such as slide decks, job aids, guides, and basic e-learning modules. - Conduct research to support the development of relevant and engaging content. - Support content reviews to ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment with learning objectives. - Co-facilitate or independently deliver foundational or compliance training sessions (e.g., onboarding modules, systems tutorials, soft skills). - Gather learner feedback and contribute ideas for program improvements based on insights and observations. - Help gather, analyze, and report on feedback to inform training program improvements. **Process Documentation & Knowledge Transfer** - Develop clear, user-friendly guides, manuals, and reference materials to support consistent execution and knowledge retention. - Maintain and update documentation regularly to reflect process changes, improvements, and evolving business needs. - Promote a culture of continuous learning by embedding documentation into onboarding, upskilling, and ongoing learning initiatives. **Required Skills & Qualifications**: - Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Adult Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - 2 - 3 years of experience in a training and development coordinator role. - Familiarity with adult learning principles and basic instructional design techniques. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams/Webinar, Zoom); experience with LMS or e-learning tools is an asset. - Must be legally eligible to work in Canada for any employer **Compensation & Benefits Package**: This position comes with a base salary range of **$55,000 - $70,000** plus a competitive performance bonus, RRSP contribution and participation in our profit-sharing program.
