**Objective**:
To support the economic empowerment and self-determination of Urban Indigenous communities by analyzing, evaluating, and communicating the economic impact of programs, policies, and initiatives. The Economic Impact Analyst will provide evidence-based insights that inform strategic planning, funding decisions, and advocacy efforts, ensuring they align with the unique social, cultural, and economic priorities of Friendship Centres.

**Key Deliverables**:

- Produce detailed reports assessing the socio-economic impact of community programs, government policies, investments, and services on Friendship Centres.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and return-on-investment studies to evaluate funding proposals, community initiatives, and policy interventions.
- Create localized economic profiles that highlight community assets, barriers to economic participation, and opportunities for growth.
- Generate evidence-based insights to support organizational policy positions and advocacy strategies aimed at improving socio-economic outcomes for Urban Indigenous People.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Analysis and Research (70%)
- Gathers, analyzes, and interprets economic research and data sets from a variety of sources to inform OFIFC program and policy advocacy.
- Conducts social return on investment (SROI) analysis on OFIFC programs. Prepares briefs, research reports and presentations on social, economic and geographic data that contributes to urban Indigenous public policy development and Friendship Centre priorities.
- Provide economic impact analysis and projections for funding proposals, investment opportunities, and feasibility studies.

Relationships/Partnerships/Support (30%)
- Provides analytical support to organizational leadership in stakeholder meetings.
- Collaborates across the Programs and Policy Department to inform statistical and economic analysis and research on key priorities.
- Prepare presentations, infographics, and briefing materials for Friendship Centres and government stakeholders to communicate economic findings.

**Education/Work Experience**:

- Post-secondary education in Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience as Economic Analyst or similar role

**Behavioural Competencies**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated understanding of the socio-economic realities of Urban Indigenous communities,
- Proven ability to communicate economic findings to both a technical and non-technical audience.
- Knowledge of Indigenous data sovereignty principles.

**Technical Competencies**:

- Experience conducting cost-benefit analysis and/or SROI.
- Experience conducting fiscal, economic and statistical analysis.
- Expertise in economic principles and research methodologies.
- Experience working with databases, cleaning datasets, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

- Full Pay Range: $80,000 - $98,000
