Based out of one of our office locations or out of your home office in Alberta or British Columbia, you’ll have the opportunity to work as part of multi-disciplinary project teams associated with our Western Canada Offices to contribute to the environmental planning and permitting efforts of government and privately-owned infrastructure projects. As an Intermediate Planner, you’ll have the opportunity to support a multidisciplinary team in coordinating infrastructure development projects through the permitting and approvals process. This is a full-time position which is primarily office work. By joining, Jacobs, you’ll commit to supporting and engaging with these teams, as we work to build a company like no other. **Here’s What You’ll Need**: - Minimum degree or diploma in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Geography, Biology/Ecology or a related field. - Time management skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on multiple tasks/projects and meet project deadlines. - Great communication skills both written and verbal and willingness to be client facing to grow our planning and permitting services. - A driver’s license and ability to provide a clean, 3 year driving abstract. - Eligibility to fly on domestic flights as per current Federal Regulations **Ideally, You’ll Also Have**: - Previous experience in environmental consulting, oil and gas or environmental regulatory agencies. - Experience or knowledge of Indigenous cultural values - Knowledge of provincial and federal environmental legislation and regulatory requirements, primarily in western Canada. - Understanding of managing budgets and schedules. - Demonstrated technical writing skills. - Strong consideration for safety - Positive attitude and self-motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills suited to working with a variety of different teams. - High attention to detail and strong desire to provide high quality deliverables. - At Jacobs, we’re challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world’s most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
