Civeo Canada is recruiting for a result driven and customer service-oriented Competency Advisor. Reporting to the department Supervisor the incumbent will be travelling to various locations on a 12 hr/day, 15 days on 13 days off rotation which may include days, nights, weekend shifts and statutory holidays.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Developing, reviewing, facilitating, implementing and continually improving the training & competency the programs of Civeo across the organization
- On an ongoing basis monitor and evaluate whether training continues to meet the requirements of the organization Consultation with operational management for training program effectiveness in consultation with operational management
- Assist with competency recordkeeping within Civeo’s Myosh system
- Assist with integration of BBO and Competency program for better efficiency and execution
- Assist with training of designated operational mentors
- Develop and build new training programs

**Work Duties**
- Research, plan, organize and conduct training for Civeo managers, supervisors and employees, with regards to all Civeo Standard Work Instructions (SWI), within all business units of the organization
- Provide readiness assessments and monitoring of adherence to Civeo’s training
- competency programs in advance of competency verifications
- Provide feedback to employees as to deficiencies or additional training required in order to meet the specifications outlined in SWI’s
- Provide feedback as to the quality, and challenges of current SWI to operational leadership and Director of Health & Safety, while providing input as to the future improvements within SWI development.
- Ensure all competency records training are filed within Civeo’s HSE database
- Identify other relevant training and opportunities.
- Provide support to operational management in verification of competency processes including feedback on improvements that could be implemented in the process.

**Qualifications**:

- Training and/or experience in Housekeeping procedures in a hotel setting
- Training and/or experience in Kitchen procedures in a hotel setting
- Experienced in facilitating training to employees from ground level workers to operational leadership
- 3 to 5 years Supervision/Management experience
- A background in adult education would be an asset
- Direct experience assessing training needs, creating training materials to fulfill those needs, and then delivering the training
- Demonstrated ability to train, coach, evaluate, and improve the work others
- Able to custom-fit training around individual needs (English as a second language)
- Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License, with a 5-year driving record satisfactory to Civeo's driving criteria
- Must be able to pass a pre-access Drug & Alcohol test
