**Job Summary**:
As a Grademan/Foreman at Sercon, you will lead on-site grading activities, supervise crews, and ensure that all work is performed to plan and on schedule. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in the field and has a strong grasp of grading and layout.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and coordinate grading crews and equipment operators
- Interpret grade plans, blueprints, and construction drawings
- Set up and maintain laser levels, GPS, and benchmarks
- Oversee and ensure proper excavation, compaction, and finish grading
- Uphold safety and quality standards at all times
- Communicate effectively with engineers, supervisors, and project managers
- Keep accurate daily records and logs
- Provide leadership and mentorship to site staff

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil construction with emphasis on grading
- Previous supervisory or foreman experience strongly preferred
- Skilled in reading plans and using layout equipment (laser level, GPS)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights) are an asset
