Dock Worker

**Hours**:3:45am-9:15am, Monday to Friday, **No weekends**-**30 Hours Weekly**

**Duties**:

- Load and unload freight from trailers using various equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Sort and organize freight in the warehouse according to designated areas
- Operate warehouse management system to track and locate freight
- Perform order picking and packing duties as needed
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all shipments
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Willingness to assist with general yard work such as trailer checks, sweeping dock areas, and other maintenance as required
- Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic
- Must be available for early morning shifts
- Ability to work in varying temperatures (inside dock, outdoor yard work)
- Attention to detail for verifying incoming/outgoing freight and manifesting accurately

Qualifications:

- Familiarity with warehouse is a plus
- Prior experience in freight handling, loading/unloading trailers, or dock work (preferred but not required)
- Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, throughout the day, sometimes
- Mechanical knowledge for operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is desired
- Capable of standing, bending, and walking for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Comfortable using pallet jacks, dollies, and other dock equipment (forklift certification is
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
- Team player with a cooperative and safety-first mindset
- Strong communication skills to interact with drivers and dispatch

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Capable of standing, bending, and walking for extended periods
