Location: 12185 86th Avenue, Surrey BC, V3W 3H8 + Work From Home 1 day per week

Hours: 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM

**JOB SUMMARY**
Do you love marketing and all that it entails? We are looking for a zealous Marketing Assistant to support the Marketing department in its primary and administrative duties. Marketing Assistant responsibilities include assisting in organizing campaigns, execution of marketing strategies and maintaining accurate client records across all systems. This work will be a critical factor for the smooth operation of the Marketing department and the attainment of its goals, as well as for the long-term growth of the company and yourself.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities.
- Support marketing staff in organizing various projects. Conduct market research.
- Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories with imagery and statistical information.
- Assist in the organizing of promotional events and attend them when necessary to facilitate their success.
- Traditional and digital marketing assistance.
- Take part in marketing meetings and participate in marketing round tables (creative geniuses at work here, people).
- Assist in preparation of promotional presentations for meetings.
- Update company websites when required.
- Social media posting.
- Experience in corporate social media is an asset, but not a requirement - we can train you.
- Communicate directly with clients ensuring trusting relationships are maintained.

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- BSc in Marketing, or relevant business field is a strong advantage.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in marketing admin and/or assistance is a strong advantage.
- Experience as a marketing assistant or administrator.
- Good understanding of marketing principles.
- Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
- Well-organized.
- Good knowledge of market research techniques.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
- Good knowledge of Photoshop.
- Good knowledge of Wordpress, Mailchimp, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Excellent proficiency in English grammar and spelling is a must.
- Clear communication and relaxed people skills - respectful, understanding, and not afraid to ask questions.

**SALARY/WAGE EXPECTATION**:
$40,000 to $45,000 per year to start, based on experience and education.
