**CONCRETE PUMP OPERATOR**

Reporting to the Site Foreman, General Contracting, the Concrete Pump Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the concrete pump. The Concrete Pump Operator will coordinate the placement of the ready-mix concrete through hoses ensuring that concrete is delivered to the correct location at the correct rate. This is a remote and rotational based position that requires flexible working hours and travel to specific project locations.

**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**:

- Operate the concrete pump and co-ordinate the placement of concrete on the jobsite
- Set up and tear down the line pump including hoses, clamps, and other necessary equipment
- Communicate effectively with other members of the construction team to ensure that concrete is delivered to the correct location and at the correct rate
- Adjust the rate of concrete flow and the position of the hose to ensure that concrete is poured evenly and at the correct consistency
- Monitor the concrete mix and adjust as needed to ensure the correct consistency and strength
- Monitor performance of the equipment and the movement of the concrete to the pour location
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the line pump and equipment
- Clean, grease, and inspect equipment for wear and tear
- Complete paperwork and maintain records
- Other related concrete tasks as assigned by supervisor

**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:

- **A valid Class 3 Drivers License with air is required**:

- Minimum 5+ years of related concrete industry work is preferred
- Experience with boom and trailer pumps is required
- Experience with concrete pumps or operating heavy equipment will be considered an asset
- Building formwork experience will be considered an asset
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including repetitive tasks and lifting heavy loads
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Critical thinking and effective decision-making skills are required
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail is required
- Ensure safety is always a top priority
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
