**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The Sonographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring high-quality imaging results while providing excellent patient care. This role requires a deep understanding of medical terminology and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff.

**Duties**
- Conduct ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, and vascular studies.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate ultrasound equipment and ensure proper functionality before each examination.
- Analyze images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary to obtain optimal results.
- Document findings and prepare reports for physicians to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.

**Skills**
- Proficient in medical terminology relevant to sonography and diagnostic imaging.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify abnormalities in images.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and medical staff.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient care and comfort.

**Requirements**:

- Active credentialed member of Sonography Canada
- 1 year scanning experience in a Canadian hospital or clinic setting
- Echocardiography experience preferred
- Proficiency is English is required, all work is done in English

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
