**Job Summary**
**Responsibilities**
- Conduct on-site farm visits to assess operational and financial conditions.
- Analyze financial records including tax returns, production data, and creditor balances.
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow projections.
- Develop tailored recovery plans to support farmers in overcoming financial challenges.
- Coordinate and participate in mediation meetings between farmers and creditors.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and neutrality throughout the mediation process.
- Communicate effectively with farmers, creditors, and FDMS administrators.
- Identify and report newly discovered creditors and update participation lists.
- Use AAFC-provided technology and software (e.g., Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams) to manage documentation and communication.
- Attend mandatory training and orientation sessions as required by FDMS.
**Qualifications**
- CPA or CFA designation, or a degree/diploma/certification in Accounting, Finance, Agriculture, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial or accounting matters related to agriculture or small business.
- Proven experience in financial recovery planning and mediation support.
- Ability to work with clients in high-stress situations with sensitivity to mental health and well-being.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (bilingual French/English preferred).
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools.
- Comfortable working with remote or unresponsive clients and managing complex documentation workflows.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
