**Purpose of the Position**:Reporting to the Director, Pan-Canadian AI Strategy, the Program Manager, AI Talent, will lead the management of the Canada CIFAR AI Chairs Program and AI training programs under the Pan-Canadian AI Strategy.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide institutional support and guidance to the Canada CIFAR AI Chairs Program and Next Generation AI training programs
- Lead the evaluation metrics, implementing tools and systems to track the annual indicators submission by the three National AI Institutes, collecting metrics for Next-Generation initiatives and contributing to CIFAR’s organization-wide Program Monitoring and Evaluation Standing committee
- Draft correspondence for evaluation committees, consultants, facilitators, and other stakeholders
- Act as a key liaison with partner AI Institutes
- Lead development of stewardship report production throughout the year
- Collaborate across the team in support of the development and execution of AI programs and activities and other Next Generation Initiatives
- Attend meetings and workshops as assigned and, if required, take and prepare notes on business-related sessions.

**Qualifications**:
**Education/Experience required**:

- Bachelor's Degree required
- 3-5 years of recent related experience in a post-secondary, research agency or related research environment
- Research grants administration experience considered an asset.

**Core Professional/Technical Knowledge & Skills required for the position**:

- Skill to gather, organize, and synthesize large amounts of information
- Professional experience in program management in the academic or philanthropic sector
- Project management skills, knowledge, and expertise
- Well-developed writing and general communication skills
- Data management skills
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Independent and results-oriented as well as collaborative team-based approach to work
- Knowledge of academia and the research process, considered an asset

**Objectif du poste**Relevant de la directrice, Stratégie pancanadienne en matière d’IA, la ou le gestionnaire de programme, Initiatives à l’intention de la prochaine génération supervise la gestion du programme de chaires en IA Canada-CIFAR ainsi que la gestion des programmes de formation en IA placés sous l’égide de la Stratégie.

**Responsabilités**
- Encadrer et orienter, d’un point de vue institutionnel, le programme de chaires en IA Canada-CIFAR ainsi que les programmes de formation de la relève en IA
- Rédiger la correspondance destinée aux comités d’évaluation, au personnel consultant, à l’équipe de médiation et aux autres parties prenantes
- Assurer le principal lien entre les instituts d’IA partenaires
- Superviser la production du rapport de gestion tout au long de l’exercice
- Collaborer avec l’équipe pour soutenir l’élaboration et la réalisation de programmes et d’activités en IA et d’autres initiatives de formation de la relève
- Assister aux réunions et aux ateliers pertinents et, le cas échéant, prendre et mettre en forme des notes sur les séances touchant à la gestion organisationnelle

**Exigences**

**Formation et expérience requises**
- Diplôme de baccalauréat
- Trois à cinq ans d’expérience pertinente et récente dans un établissement d’enseignement supérieur, un centre de recherche ou un milieu de recherche analogue
