Otter Energy is one of Ontario’s largest and most established solar energy companies, with its roots in solar project construction and maintenance. Otter is seeking full-time Solar Installation Technicians that are passionate about energy and sustainability.

**JOB SUMMARY**:
**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Lifting and transporting solar panels and other necessary materials
- Capable of working in an efficient, safe manner outdoors in all weather conditions
- Fastening aluminum racking systems to support the solar modules
- Handling and fastening the solar modules to aluminum frames
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
- Attention to detail when completing tasks
- All other duties as assigned

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & KEY COMPETENCIES**:

- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Take pride in doing quality work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while still maintaining attention to detail
- Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and willing to learn and follow instruction
- Ability to have fun while staying focused on completing your tasks
- Ability to safely lift and carry materials 50lbs and over on a frequent or repetitive basis
- Work comfortably on construction sites in various weather conditions and environments
- Ability to travel throughout the province and stay away from home throughout the workweek
- Ability to stand, bend and twist for long periods of time

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**:

- 2+ years general labor experience
- High school diploma
- Working at Heights certificate is an asset
- Valid Ontario driver’s license & vehicle is MANDATORY
- D Licence or higher and Boom Truck Operator Ticket an asset
