Manager, Material and Expedite

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Material Replenishment & Disposal, the Manager, Material and Expedite - Airframe is primarily accountable for all AOG aircraft part requirements in airframe maintenance including process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.. The incumbent also oversees the Airframe Material Representatives across international airframe MRO's, ensuring that all processes are standardized and adhered to across all locations.

**Key Functions & Accountabilities**: (Responsibilities, Activities, Authority levels, etc)

Airframe AOG
- Ensure effective inter-branch communication for Material required for aircraft Return to Service in Airframe Maintenance
- Accountable for all AOG Aircraft part requirements in Airframe Maintenance
- Responsible for key operational decisions regarding material supply impact.
- Lead and communicate daily operations material requirement plan summaries and participate in daily operational conference calls
- Lead the implementation and completion of process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to KPIs such as material spend, availability and response time.
- Ensure and display consideration for financial impact when assessing material supply options/scenarios.
- Responsible for escalating material when outside his/her approval authority level and responsible for solving any conflict/routing/cost/logistics/Invalid Parts Issue.
- Collaborate with System configuration to rectify errors identified in TRAX (to include PN applicability).
- Liaison with internal and external customers across the globe including Government officials (customs), and senior leadership at Air Canada.
- Overall accountability for airframe AOG material requirements
- Obtain feedback from Airframe customers and identify process improvement opportunities
- Own airframe AOG materials and expedite processes, responsible to regularly review and re-map processes and oversee implementation

Airframe Material Reps
- Overall accountability of Airframe Material Representatives including performance and adherence to service level agreements
- Accountable to ensure agreed upon KPIs between Air Canada and third-party material representatives are adhered to and that MRO's meet Air Canada performance standards
- Liaise with Supply Chain & on-site Material Representatives to ensure any outstanding material issues that may arise from material movements (sent/return) are resolved.
- Responsible to ensure all On-Site Material Reps adhere to the Airframe Processes and work in a standardized manner at all locations.
- Responsible to monitor and interface with on-site Material Rep and Airframe Expeditors to resolve any material issue that may arise during the airframe event.
- Assist in resolving with the on-site Material Reps any productivity problems or issues that arise in a timely manner to ensure no impact to the Airframe Event TAT.
- Resolve material cost/discrepancies when required.
- Oversee MRO Stores Inventory on-site and monitor activities related to ACM Material
- Liaise daily with the MRO to ensure to resolve all material issues

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 7+ years experience in an airline or MRO inventory control position.
- Minimum 5+ years experience in an Supply Chain managerial role with financial/budgetary responsibilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to analyze and leverage data
- Excellent working knowledge with MS Office programs and TRAX.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure, and with changing priorities.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication/negotiation skills.
- Good working knowledge of airline-standard documentation.
