If you have experience in preparation of food, are passionate about nutrition and have your Food Safety Certificate, this position at our Childcare Centres is for you.

This postion is eligible for our company benefits after 90 days and elgible for the retention bonus after milestones are met.

In this position, the Chef will be responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen. Duties include but are not limited to:

- Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
- Order and pick up groceries and supplies
- Being mindful of proper portion size served to children
- Label and date open packages in fridge & freezer practicing FIFO
- Creating monthly menu plans
- Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting allergy and dietary requirements where required
- Following the set nurtional menu to ensure items are prepared to meet the nutrition guidelines.
- Maintaining a clean ktichen
- Disinfecting practices
- Know and practice proper hand washing procedures

**Requirements**:

- 2 Years commercial cooking experience
- Food Safety Certificate
- Team player, organized, flexible
- Strong advocate of nutrition
- First Aid Certificate
- Class 5 License
- Backgrounds check will be required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
