We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated student to join our team for a valuable learning experience.

As a Geophysics Summer Student, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Geology team. This role will provide you with hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of Geophysics in the oil and gas industry. You will play a vital role in assisting with 3D mapping. As a heavily integrated technical team, we advance our understanding in a multidisciplinary environment using a continuous improvement framework.

The term of the position is for 4 months, with an anticipated start date in May 2025.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide detailed 3D seismic mapping of formations in a key exploratory area for Birchcliff.
- Build the necessary attribute maps to identify faults and key facies in order to identify target intervals for potential hydrocarbon prospectivity, disposal reservoirs and drilling hazards.

**Education, Skills & Abilities**:

- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Geophysics. A 3rd or 4th year student is preferred.
- Strong academic performance and a passion for Geophysics.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in our Calgary Office is required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months

Expected hours: 40 per week

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
